PigView Mobile — Privacy Policy

Turbulent Research Incorporated ("Propipe North America", "we", "us") provides PigView Mobile for operating industrial pipeline-inspection equipment. This policy covers the iOS and Android app and its connected services.

1. Information We Collect and Use

Depending on the features you use, we process:

Account details: Name, email, account identifier, and sign-in tokens received through our sign-in provider to authenticate you and control access. Your password is handled by that provider, not by us.
Equipment and operational data: Identifiers, settings, sensor readings, equipment sound recordings, passage records, and precise equipment or pipeline coordinates obtained over Bluetooth or entered by you. We use this data to operate and update equipment, save your work, and synchronise records for reporting. Cloud records are associated with your organisation and may be linked to your account.
Content you provide: Messages, reactions, participant identifiers, timestamps, support questions, and files or photos you select. We use these for conversations, attachments, imports, exports, and support. Chat attachments upload when selected, before you send the message. The app does not upload your entire photo library or record your phone's microphone.
Phone location: With permission, the "Near me" filter uses your location on your device. That filter does not upload your phone's location to our services; this is separate from uploaded equipment or passage coordinates.
Network information: Our services and providers receive IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and secure sign-in, cloud, map, and clock synchronisation services. Map requests include the area and zoom level viewed.

Records and messages are available to authorised members of your organisation or conversation. We also share data with service providers for:

Sign-in and cloud storage: Account details and credentials for sign-in; account-linked operational records, messages, attachments, and support content for storage and synchronisation.
AI-assisted support: Our third-party AI provider, Microsoft, processes your questions and relevant conversation history, support information, and authorised operational context to generate responses. Questions and responses may be saved in the conversation.
Maps and clock synchronisation: IP addresses and request information to display maps and synchronise equipment clocks. Map requests include the area and zoom level viewed.

Third parties receiving personal data must provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy. We do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers or data brokers, and do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app advertising tracking.

3. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Data is stored on your device and, for cloud features, with our service providers. We use secure credential storage, encrypted cloud connections, and access controls. Information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and Canada.

We retain account data, operational records, messages, and support content as needed to provide the service and meet contractual or legal requirements. Service-provider logs and backups may remain for their applicable retention periods. You can request deletion using the contact details below; some records may need to be retained for legal or contractual obligations.

Sign out to clear stored session credentials. Uninstalling the app or deleting a local record does not delete cloud records, backups, or exported copies.

4. Your Choices and Rights

You can deny or revoke location and Bluetooth permissions in your device settings; features that need them will be unavailable. You choose which files to share and whether to use chat or AI support.

Contact us below to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, withdraw consent, or exercise other applicable privacy rights. We respond within the time required by law.

5. Children and Policy Updates

The app is intended for professional use, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We update the date above when this policy changes and provide any additional notice required by law.
